Waxing is one of the best ways to temporarily remove unwanted hair. It is more effective than shaving because it removes hair from the roots, not just from the skin’s surface. Over time, hair in waxed areas regrows lighter and more sparse, or not at all.


Hair needs to be 1/4 inch long. If it is too short, the hair will be difficult to remove. It is always easier to remove longer hair than shorter. If you typically shave please allow 7-10 days between shaving and waxing.

A standard bikini wax removes all of the hair from your bikini area that would be visible if you were wearing a standard bikini. A Brazillian wax is an extended bikini wax moving downward and inward from a standard bikini.

Hollywood wax is the most intimate of all waxing services and removes all of the hair in the bikini area and all hair from your backside as well. Some clients prefer to leave a small amount behind and others prefer to go completely bare, the decision is entirely up to the individual.

Appointments are usually scheduled every 4 weeks. If this is your first waxing experience you can reasonably expect your results to lastbetween 3 and 6 weeks with minimal growth in the days and weeks following your appointment, depending on how quickly your particular hair grows. Hair regrowth patterns vary and you will notice an improvement in regard to the longevity of your results as you become regular with your waxing services.

No. This is a complete myth. Waxing, in fact, is know to actually stop hair growth all together in some cases. It is important to keep in mind though that waxing should be used as a temporary hair removal method as the slowing or stopping of hair growth takes many years of consistent waxing.

If done properly, waxing can be a great benefit to people with sensitive skin. It is much more gentle on the skin than many other methods of hair removal such as shaving and at home depilatories. It is impossible to predict who will have a reaction to the wax or any product used. If you have sensitive skin it is very important to follow the instructions in the pre-waxing guide as well as the post-waxing guide.

I use different types of wax for different services. Some waxing services require the use of hard wax, which hardens on the skin and is then removed. Hard wax is perfect for use on people who have sensitive skin as the wax encapsulates each individual hair and does not attach to skin. For some services provided a strip wax, or soft wax, is best to use. Stripwax is applied to the skin and a small piece of paper is pressed over the top and is removed in that fashion. All of the waxes used are of the highest quality and the results are superior because of this.

Every person has a different pain threshold and also experiences waxing differently, however if you maintain your waxing regularly, most find it easier as the hairs become thinner, lighter and more sparse after a few treatments. If your pain threshold is particularly low, a couple of Nurofen tablets half an hour prior to treatment tends to reduce pain.

You may notice a small amount of growth after a week or so. It can take up to four treatments for your hair to get into a growth cycle that gives best results. We recommend waxing every 4 weeks to maintain your smooth appearance.

Absolutely! I do require that you wear a tampon for sanitary purposes. Also be aware, due to hormones, your service may be more uncomfortable during this time.  It’s not an absolute, but a definite possibility. Some people notice no difference during their cycle while others report a huge difference in pain/discomfort.

• Anyone currently taking Accutain or who has taken Accutain at any time within the past 6 months.

• Anyone who has an active Herpes outbreak.

• Anyone with a sunburn on the area to be treated.

• Anyone who has had a chemical peel over the treatment area within the past 7 days.

• Anyone who has used any type of Retinol within the past 36 hours over the treatment area.

• Any area of the skin showing signs of trauma, varricose veins, open or active acne lesions, eczema, psoriasis or any type of dermatitis will not be waxed.

To keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat & friction during the next 24 hours. This means:

• No hot baths or showers (warm water only).

• No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments.

• No tanning (sunbathing, sun beds or fake tans).

• No sport, gym, work or other exercise.

• Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands.

• Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools.

• Do not apply deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area, other than those recommended by your therapist.

Please note: Some slight soreness, small bumps & redness are common & perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax.
